The police force in Naija is part of the systematic corruption that has resulted in a failed country. The policemen on the streets are only following their superior's orders to extort and use force on citizens indiscriminately --especially where their money collection quotas are concerned. In this milieu, policemen primarily function as private security or bodyguards for the rich or anyone who can pay bribery. They have never been trained or raised to see their work as genuine law enforcement agents who protect and serve the people.

Nigeria was created in 1914 by Lord Lugard and was meant to last only 100 years in 2014 , see where we are today 60 years after independence from Britain no good road , no well equipped school or hospital facility, no job, our leaders loot huge cash to western world and go and borrow it back with huge interest, sometimes when they die the whole loots are forgotten, when they are sick they fly abroad when they die they bring them back to bury in Nigeria mmm, Nigeria is now a cemetery. Hard working and talented Nigeria are seen committing crime abroad because of the broken country they came from, they want to meet up quickly so that their relatives won't starve to death, many medical and engineering students resorts to wilbirrow pusher in order to meet up.. we have crude oil for over 60 years yet no refinery, we have timbers yet we cannot produce toothpicks , we have more than ten million electrical engineering students graduating every year yet we live total darkness. Justice in Nigeria is an ornament of the rich the poor goes to jail without trail. The children of the rich uses expensive IPAD while the children of the poor cannot afford monthly sanitary pad . Nigeria is a failed family gathering and it follows that everyone should go their different ways and manage themselves with their available resources. # Buhari must Fall. # Nigeria must Fall MF Akaonyewetere.

These tankers and other 18 wheelers vehicles are not ROAD WORTHY! either the tyres are not good enough or the breaks are not working.the exchange rate of 460:$ is not helping on the replacement of these costly parts .e.g.a tyre cost up to #100,000 and u need 18 of them, so tyre alone is #1.8m , how many companies can afford that much for tyes alone,? the other parts are not yet in the taken into considerations eg the Break systems, the alternators the battery the suspensions. etc. These are the reasons why there are so many road accidents involving these 18 wheelers these days.

I don't blame the youths in Nigeria the SARS protest is a protest of all the problems endemic in Nigeria. A society that doesn't allow it's youth to flourish. Nigeria is in trouble, in serious trouble this could be the beginning of the end for the elite. The greatest problem with Nigeria is we don't like change because if we did President Buhari shouldn't be a President after serving the country as a military leader he is still the same man as he was then myopic, incoherent, still favouring Northern appointments and more importantly having nothing to offer. It's such a shame.

When they were using the police and some thugs to disrupt elections, they did not know that they don't have control over the security architecture right? What a governor of a state should do is to show empathy and they should keep on bugging the president to do something about it if they do not have control over the security agencies

The misleaders failed to invest on these youths who are smart n vibrantly correct in their invention. Twenty or thirty yrs ago Chinese people were as poor as Church rat unfortunately they figure out their problems by coping the western countries n refurbishing some of their products, now Chinese people created two systems of products original product's n cheap products, the original product's are sent to western countries while the cheap or fakw products are send to African countries because African leaders are corrupt n careless about the junk's that the Chinese are dumping in their countries. These old cargoes should get with the programme n stop thinking backwards.

Sometimes I don't know why this people keep beating around the Bush, after all the Northerners has proved time and time that they are not part of us. They want the SARS, it is not a sickness of the eye Nigeria Will never work, each region has nothing in common. Please Agitation for Division.

@rossmeroe Can you point one agenda or demands from the South that northerners are in support, come to the Senate or Assembly even in Youth program, northerners are dividing the country more than any other region be honest to yourself, we should makebthe country better if we accept to be one

Use your head. SARS does help them, in dealing with insurgency and bandits up north. Stop being selfish and accept that the north also have the right to protect their interests like you are doing yours. What you can simply say is they can deploy SARS officers to the northern states that request them, while keeping them away from the southern states that say they don't want them. That is what democracy is about - accommodating everyone's interest - not ''everybody do what I say or we split up the country''.

Pls STOP referring to anyone in Nigeria with this "His/Her Excellency" nonsense. To start with, there is nothing excellent about the results these corrupt politicians are producing. Why call these people excellent while they wallow in mediocrity? Outside of the traditional rulers nobody should be referred to as his or her excellency. It is only in Nigeria where servants are called excellencies by the people who are "served."

@Samm N Low IQ reasoning. So if YOU got into govt tomorrow I must assume you are an incompetent thief? If not, why not?

@rossmeroe You must be one of the benefactor of the government, is that why you are advocating for them? Are you celebrating mediocrity in governance?

That's not the issue. Stop referring to them as excellency. It's the reason why they think that they are better than you; who voted them into office. Just simply refer to them as Mr governor, it helps them to stay humble. they should be serving you and not the other way around.

Oh shut up..... Not every Nigerian politician is producing poor results. Many states have good governors that are building good infrastructure that's improving lives.
